This Privacy Policy explains how LanguageMaster.org ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use LanguageMaster.org (the "Service").
We collect information you provide directly, such as your email address and password when you create an account. We also collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used, learning progress) to operate and improve the Service. Payment details are handled entirely by PayPal or Stripe, depending on how you choose to pay — we never see or store your card or bank account information. If you apply to our affiliate program, we collect additional information described in "Affiliate Program Data" below.
We use your information to: create and manage your account; process subscription payments; send account-related and service emails (such as password resets and, if you opt in, our weekly learning digest); track learning progress across devices; and improve the Service through aggregate, privacy-respecting analytics.
We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track individuals across websites. We may also use Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics to understand aggregate site usage.
We use a small number of essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences (such as which homepage variant you were shown). If you arrive via an affiliate's referral link, we also set a first-party cookie (valid 30 days) recording which affiliate referred you, so that affiliate can be credited if you purchase — see "Affiliate Program Data" below. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers necessary to operate the Service — such as PayPal and Stripe for payment processing (including affiliate commission payouts), our email delivery provider, and Tolt, our affiliate-tracking provider — and only to the extent needed to provide the Service.
If you apply to our affiliate program, we collect additional information beyond a standard account: your name, mailing address, city, postal code, country, phone number, PayPal email address, and (optionally) your website or social media handles. We use this information to evaluate your application, confirm you're in a region we're able to run the program in, administer the program, and send commission payouts to the PayPal email you provide. We also track sales made through your referral link (via the cookie described above and, for approved affiliates, a referral code) in order to calculate and pay commissions. This information is retained for as long as your affiliate account is active and as needed afterward for financial record-keeping.
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active, and use industry-standard measures (including password hashing and encrypted connections) to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You may access, correct, or delete your account information at any time from your account settings, or by contacting us. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in those emails.
The Service is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 without parental consent.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
